The 2nd China Trade in Services Congress, approved by the State Council of China and hosted by the Ministry of Commerce, will be held in Beijing, China from November 24 to 25, 2009.
The 1st Congress was held successfully in Shanghai on November 26 to 27,2007. Over 400 guests from China and abroad attended the Congress, including international organizations such as the WTO and UNCTAD, and developed economies such as France and Australia.
This year, with the theme of “China Services, Globally Shared”, the Congress will hold a series of events including the opening ceremony, International Seminar on Trade in Services, and Trade Talks. A leader from the State Council of China will deliver a keynote speech at the opening ceremony. At this event, officials from international organizations and major economies as well as representatives from multinational companies will discuss the recent development of trade in services in the world; enterprises from China and abroad in fields such as design, bio-medicine, digital animation and games, advertising, financial and environmental services will have the chance to meet each other and explore business opportunities.
