Singapore Manufacturers’ Federation (SMa), together with International Enterprise (IE) Singapore, and Singapore Customs will hold a Seminar on China-Singapore Free Trade Agreement (CSFTA), which includes the following contents:
Introduction to CSFTA - China and Singapore signed the China-Singapore Free Trade Agreement (CSFTA) on 23 October 2008. The CSFTA will further create opportunities for businesses especially manufacturers from both countries to grow their links in each other’s markets by further reducing and removing barriers to trade.
With the signing of the CSFTA, 95% of Singapore’s exports to China will enjoy tariff-free access to China by 2010 and All Chinese exports to Singapore will be granted tariff-free access on 1 January 2009. The CSFTA will entry into force on 1 January 2009.
